...A Week For Reflection

Well lets see... it has been a crazy week and I am going to do my very best to explain it all though I have a million thoughts and finding words for them seems to be a little more difficult for me lately...

#1- Today I went to a funeral for a good friend who passed away last week. Sad cirumstances, but the service was beautiful and there were definitly some good thoughts that I walked away with. My friend's grandpa spoke and said that funerals are funny in an interesting way...because only during those times does the gap between your life and your death become so small that you can actually take a glimpse into what the other side holds for us. Now personally, I am not a big fan of death. And I know, no one is. But I am actually scared of it really. But I was comforted and reassured in the fact that this Earth life is not the end. I was also reminded of the serenity prayer. And although I have come across and read it many times, the last line struck me harder than it ever has. It reads, "That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him." I love my life here on earth. I love every moment I get to spend with my family, boyfriend, friends, and everyone I hold so dear to my heart. I have had amazing oppourtunities in my time and I have experienced so much. I am in no way ready to go.... because for me I think the reasonably happy includes a family of my own, an amazing husband, children, a career, a reason for my time on this earth perhaps and obviously another 75, maybe 80 years of being "reasonably happy" :) But I know of the great joy and SUPREME happiness I will feel when I return to live with my father in heaven. That was the most comforting thought of today. That even though we will all miss Garrett and his amazing spirit, he is SUPREMELY happy. And he is in a better place. And for that we can all be at peace. :)



#2: A best friend of mine got engaged Saturday night to her high school sweetheart! Yes ladies and gentlemen its true! Jillian Anderson and Eric Ringer are officially engaged and on the fast track of 3 months to becoming Mrs.and Mr. Eric Ringer! Ah that is nuts to say out loud!!! Try it I dare you! I honestly have never been more excited for one of my friends to get married! Don't get me wrong ladies, I have loved each and every one of your weddings and husband choices. But these two just have a soft spot in my heart. The reason is this. These two started dating my Junior year in high school....so thats about...oh 4 years ago! And you could honestly not find two people more perfect for each other. There has never been a time where I have been around the both of them where I haven't laughed hysterically or felt of the love each other! They are so caring and so considerate of each other. Well enough fawning... congratulations to the both of you! I know that your life together will be filled with nothing but amazing memories and happy times. Best wishes and good luck!


#3 Last but CERTAINLY not least,...today September 9th... one of my BFF's was sent to this earth 20 years ago!!! Jacquelyn Valerie Orrock.... this one's for you!! "This is your birthday song...it isnt very long!! hey!" HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACKIE!! I love you soo much...lets go for the old 20 reasons why I love Jackie to death!!



1. She spent the better half of her high school years driving me around in the XTERRA!
2. When I go and visit in Provo, she MAKES me sleep in her bed with her...trust me its not weird at all. Seriously.
3. She's a good sport when Alyssa and I so kindly point out her Kip moments.
4. She was pretty much my Mom my first year of college at SUU and took such great care of me.
5. She has the most gorgeous hair ever!
6. She is a closet freak... and I LOVE THAT!! ..Pocahontas and John Smith? :)
7. She never ever judges me...even when I get a little crazy sometimes
8. She has been the supplier of many Amp ups especially on long road trips and the big rigs were necessary.
9. She is independant and stands on her own two feet.
10. She is extremely nurturing.
11. She is always willing to help someone who needs it.
12. Whenever somebody says something that could have a dirty conotation (i.e. this sure is a big pickle...) you will always here a small little giggle coming from somewhere and its ALWAYS Jackie haha.
13. Jackie... "Did you ever know that your my hero?!" haha....
14. She lets me raid her closet whenever I need to or have an oppourtunity too.
15. When I was getting my license she let me practice in the Altima.
16. She wrestles with me... her and her crazy legs!!...
17. One time I accidentally hit her boys hehe...and she didnt even get mad! HAHA!
18. She loves to take pictures and make amazing memories including bathing suits, snow and a very large tractor.
19. She is one heck of a BFF and i love her to death!!
20. Jackie two words.... JAMES INGRAM!!

I hope you have the best birthday ever and I love you soo much! I wish I could have been there but One more year till our clubbin phase begins!! :) I love you best friend!!
